News at 11: Borrowing a Lens Opens New World

Happy Weekend!

I rented a 100mm Nikkor Micro Lens for last weekend's getaway in Kennebunk, ME.  It was a beautiful weekend, so I had lots of time outside to explore to my hearts content. :)

Now for some macro shots.

Stay tuned for another post this week.

My Rustic Amatriciana recipe will be up tomorrow.

It's what happens when you're making do with what you can find in someone else's kitchen... :)

October Beauty

Not your typical thoughts of Fall.  I was out for a walk in the brisk morning air after a rainstorm.  Everything was fresh and new and dusted with droplets of moisture.

I couldn't resist these October blooms in full color.

The haze of the day made them all the more vibrant.

While I love Fall, these images make me remember what nature brings in all seasons.  Beauty.

Flowers make my world a little better

I'm working my way back from another cold.  A friend came over for dinner on Saturday, and she brought me these lovely Gerbera daisies.  They are my favorite flower.  I think it's because they are in such bright and beautiful colors, you can't help but be cheered by them.

It is a gorgeous day in Massachusetts, the sun is streaming in my window, brighter and brighter each minute.

I think I need to get to the store to get some Gerbera plants for my windowsills.  What a way to bring the outside in this summer!
